Hi. Im 32 weeks pregnant and I'm having one of those days where pregnancy anxiety gets to me. I want to know how the baby is and how the pregnancy is going. But I havent had an u/s since 20 weeks, and I'm not sure if my doctor does them in the third trimester or what kind of testing she does, if any. Just feeling antsy. TIA

Depends on the practice and your risk. I'm considered high risk so I go in for biophysical Sonos every 4 weeks and now that I'm nearly 33 weeks, I'm going to start weekly sonos next week.

But it's also common to not have any after the 20w. They should still be using the Doppler at your appointments.

I'm high risk so I have ultrasounds every appointment. I started going every 2 weeks once I hit 20 weeks and been going every week since 30 weeks (currently 35 weeks almost 36 weeks). My practice has a high risk OB on staff.

I used Dr. Jacob for my last pregnancy. I was high risk so I was referred to NSMFM for biweekly and weekly NST/BPP, but I do remember her doing a quickie sono in the office toward the end to make sure the baby was still head down. I was just over 38 weeks when she did it. I remember because I had my baby 2 days after that appointment!

I know I had appointments every week at the end of my pregnancy, but I actually don't think there were any sonos until the VERY end (when I was at or close to 40wks). That's a long time to go without though. My anatomy scan is at 18wks and I can't imagine not having another sono from that point until the end, but I bet that's how it will be. Ugh. Hopefully you're at least getting the Doppler at each visit. If not, I'd request that. But if you're very worried, could you request a sono? I was feeling anxious with #1 over some weird pressure I was feeling at 17wks and my OB then did a sono for me. (all was well).

Thank you all. That is helpful. I'm not really worried about any one thing. It's more just a general anxiety. This is my second baby and I had some anxiety with DS1 too. It comes in waves. I'm sick of being pregnant and antsy. But I know this will pass. And then come back again! I see Dr Jacob a week from tomorrow. I'll be 33 weeks. I'll ask her what is the plan for the rest of the pregnancy.

All my other kids I was high risk so I had multiple sonos.

This pregnancy I am not so I had my 20 week anatomy and then we just had a 35 week growth sono. Your doctor should be doing one of them to check size of baby, your fluid levels etc. I would just ask when they normally do it.
