NSUH ER vent (and L&D rave)

So yesterday, I had a massive panic attack that took forever to end- first 1 since being pregnant.

What I thought was going to be an easy doppler check turned into a 12 hour stay in L&D because they thought I had pre-eclampsia and told me I'd have to deliver- at 18 weeks. 2 minutes after this news they decided to check to see if my bp came down-it skyrocketed (no sh!t) so they took labs which were a little off. Off to L&D I went after waiting in the hallway for over an hour.

What do you know, they checked the little peanut who was movin and shakin with a perfect hb and not a care in the world. BP 10 minutes later was 120/71 and went down from there, labs 6 hours later were fine. The L&D nurse was furious they did this to me and agreed if they had just done the damn doppler in the beginning my BP would have been normal in no time. The nurses were AWESOME.

If you got this far (thank you) the doctor doing the US slipped up and showed the nurse "the hamburger!"

Wow - how scary. SO glad everything turned out okay. Sorry you went through that.

Congrats on - were you planning on being team green!?!?!
