IVF- Suppression or No Suppression?

So it looks like my next step is IVF which I want to do by the end of the year. I saw my RE yesterday and we talked briefly about it. I didn't think of asking him how long my IVF cycle would be (an estimate). He didn't mention the suppression phase so I'm wondering if he wouldn't want to suppress me?

I'm trying to figure out the best time to do IVF with my days off etc.

I'm going back to him this week so I'll ask for more info then. Just wondering what everyone's protocol was during IVF (suppression or no suppression) and why.

My first round was 10 days of BCP's which started on day 3 of my cycle, than 3 days off of them and than started stims for 8 days, day 9 was trigger shot than 36 hours later was retrieval. All in all the process was 24 days from BCP's to retrieval. Than add in either 3 or 5 days later for transfer.

I just started my 2nd round of IVF last week, this time my RE wanted to only do 7 days of BCP's, so I did those starting day 3, finished them this past Monday and started stims this past Thursday and we will see from there how long I stim this time around.

I've done both. First two times I used Lipton. The other time I did no suppression.

I've done both. This time no suppression and I started stimming CD2

I've suppressed with Bc from 10-21 days.

Did one cycle of IVF, started with suppression - 7 days BCP. Cycle resulted in my now 3 month old

I get suppressed because I had a dominant follicle take over during medicated IUI.
