Bleeding/Spotting 8 days straight mid cycle
Going to dr later today but totally freaking out. I always have a 28/29 day cycle. Bleed for about 5 days and its over. The past 3 months I started having a lil spotting cycle day 14/15. I knew this was ovulation spotting so wasn't too concerned. But this month I started spotting cd 15/16 and it hasn't stopped (up to 8 days now). It is not as heavy as my period but more than just a few spots on the tp. I had a sono and mri just 4 months ago and other than a small cyst and I decent sized fibroid that I have had forever everything was ok. My mind goes straight to cancer. Could this be pre menapause?

Yeah, i was going to ask how old you are, as that sounds so much like what my mom and aunt went through during pre menapause.

it can mean so many things and not necessary pre menopause, cycles change throughout life, based on age, weight, stress in our lives, medication, BCP etc. I always spotted pre my period. Let your mind relax and wait to see the Dr.

Bleeding/Spotting 8 days straight mid cycle
I had that happen for months and the cause was uterine fibroids and uterine polyps. Once I had them removed the spotting stopped.

I had mid cycle bleeding. A HSG test (Hysteriosalpingnogram) reveled uterine pylops. I had a D & C and the mid cycle bleeding stopped.

Just wanted to see if you are OK. It probably isn't cancer, since nothing showed on the MRI.
I did have endometrial cancer, and yes, irregular bleeding was one symptom, but the sonogram showed polyps. Even then the Dr. thought hit was probably just polyps, but they tested it & then did a D & C to confirm. I had an MRI to see how much cancer there was & even if they didn't already know it was cancer, they could see the tumor on the MRI.
Just stay on top of it & if anything is questionable, push for a D & C if you have to.

Well my dr disnt seem concerned at all. I had an mri a sono and a pap about 4 months ago and all seemed fine except for my fibroid that i had for years. He thinks it is a uterine infection. I am on antibiotics and provera for 10 days. The bleeding basically stopped and hopefully i will get my period in the next few days and get back to normal. Thanks for the advice and replies :)
