White post farms?

So we attended a birthday party this weekend at white post farms, and we had a great time-it was adorable.

And then I got home, and I started thinking.

And I realized that I felt really badly for the animals they had so little room to move around-do they really spend their lives there in those tiny pens?

Also, those animals get fed a TON of grain. Do they ever get fresh food?

I emailed them, but I doubt I'll hear back. I just feel so horrible that the animals have to live that way..I really don't know if I can ever go back there, even if it's for a party

I agree with you. I hate seeing animals penned up like that. It's so terrible the way we treat them and use them for our entertainment.

I hate the exotic animals they have. I think a kangaroo, a bear and the monkeys. I care slightly less for the goats bc they seem pretty thrilled about the food and attention.

I live in the area and from what I've heard the owner isn't really a stand up person. Supposedly the animals aren't treated and taken care of well. And on a another level, it's cash only, so you know Only 1/5 is being reported

I agree, it is very sad. I feel the same way about the circus. These large animals are kept in a confined area.

We went last year with my son and had the same feeling. We were really disgusted by the conditions they keep the animals in, how small the pens etc. It seems like such an exploitative atmosphere there. Maybe I'm just more used to real Zoos, but I really don't think its the right way to treat animals.

I've seen so many people say how great it is, and I just scratch my head.

That place is disgusting. It's dirty, the animals are dirty, the conditions are horrible.
I also don't know how those animals don't die from being so overfed. It's gross how much they must consume on a daily basis.

I'm so glad you posted this! I went for a birthday party a couple months ago for the 1st time and thought the same thing. I was so surprised to see the exotic animals and felt so badly for them! It's just not right. I mentioned that to a few friends and they looked at me like I had 2 heads. Everyone I've spoken to seems to love it but I got such an icky feeling there. I won't be going back.

Yep.

I was there recently and the sun was very strong. In several of the pens, the animals were clustered together in the tiny areas that actually had shade. Some pens had no shade at all. Everything looked dirty - the animals, the food, the water.

I won't be back.

I convinced my brother NOT to have my nephew's birthday party here last year when they were looking at venues. The conditions are absolutely disgusting and IMO, the animals are beyond neglected and abused. Very sad.
