Elective 3d/4d Sono
What are your thoughts on these places? I am 26 weeks and getting more and more curious to see our baby's features; my doctor hasn't mentioned anything about having a machine that does 3d or 4d imaging and so far everything they've done has just been the traditional sono imaging. But at the same time I am kind of weary of these places - I see some of them require doctors approval or a copy of your sono from your doctor etc.
Curious to hear from those who have done these whether you had good experiences or are happy you did it - thanks!

Elective 3d/4d Sono
I did it with DD1 because I found a good deal but the place I used moved out of state. It was fun to see DD in 3d/4d but we didn't bother with DD2. We went at 30w but DD1 was face down so they let us come back the following week to try again and it was successful.
Some places require a sono or something from your dr because they're pretty much for entertainment purposes and are not meant to diagnose anything. They're just covering their ass in case there's an issue with the baby.

Elective 3d/4d Sono
Madonna in Bay shore does it. This is what my doctor uses. They come into the office every now and then for better sonos and I go to them for the genetics testing. You could schedule with them for a 3D. I personally think the 3D is creepy looking lol so I'm leaving somethings to the imagination.

Re: Elective 3d/4d Sono
With my last pregnancy I went to Baby's 1st Apperance. That was in 2014, and a doctors note wasn't required, but I did have to disclose who my doctor was. Like another poster said, it's just to cover themselves in case they see something not right. I think the 3d/4d sonos can be really fun to have done and I would probably do it again at some point with this pregnancy.
