Off white/cream color v white cabinets - question.
I really wanted off white/cream colored cabinets but the more I see of them up close, the stain on them doesn't always look even and in the creases they tend to look "dirty" or old/yellowish. I am now leaning towards white.
If you have the cream, do you like them or would you have preferred white? If you have white, is there anything you don't like about them?

I don't have true white, it's more of a bone color. The bright white was too white/cold. Maybe look into that, instead of a cream.

We have white cabinets and I love them. The cabinet maker made them comparable to the color Dove White by BM.

I like true white, we just did a white kitchen in our fliphouse and it looks so fresh and clean. I think it's pretty classic looking too. There are pics in my album

I agree about the cream looking dirty. An off white/ivory is nice. I love the bone white in pp's kitchen. Stark white is too much for me. It's kind of like wedding dresses- ivory is the most universally flattering!

The line we are looking at doesnt really have an ivory. I can look at other brands but I dont want to spend more and also we are REALLY pressed for time. I like white, I just had "off white" in my head for awhile but now Im questioning it.

I have a cream color but with no glaze. Love it! bM store matched the color so we could match the crown all throughout the room!

We have white, I adore it. It just looks so clean to me. I am helping a friend house shop and we were talking about how the ivory/off white cabinets just look dingy and even darkens the space. the white looks like it glows. That said, it's whatever you like better, just look on Houzz at tons of pics of both and see which you prefer, that's what we did, just looked at hundreds of pics and started to see a pattern of what we liked and thats how we figured it out.

Re: Off white/cream color v white cabinets - question.
This was something we struggled with! I love white cabinets and think the stark bright white looks awesome with a more modern shaker style cabinet door, but I wasn't loving the bright white on a more traditional style cabinet because I thought it looked off somehow. We went with a more transitional/traditional style door and ended up going with one shade off of stark white which our cabinet maker called "lace" -- kind of like the comparison someone above made to wedding dresses. This wasn't an ivory because no yellow cast to it (I didn't want that) but also wasn't a stark white either. We didn't do a glaze because it would have added 20% to the cost of our cabinets (which already weren't cheap) and I too wasn't sure I loved how it sometimes pools in the crevices. I am mostly happy with our cabinets -- sometimes I second guess whether I should have gone with the stark bright white instead, although I probably wouldn't have been happy with them. Our cabinets look white in direct lighting and look slightly less white in the dark. Happy to share pictures if you message me
