Using ovulation kit for 1st time
I have my period right now so how does this work. How soon after my period is done do I start testing? Do I test multiple times a day or just 1x a day? What time should I test. I bought the generic rite aid brand that has 20 strips.

Re: Using ovulation kit for 1st time
I've never used this brand, but I test starting day 10 and test everyday around 2:00 pm. I hear afternoons are the best time to test but that it's important to try and test at the same time everyday. Good luck!!
ETA: I mean cycle day 10- so 10 days from the start of your period.

Re: Using ovulation kit for 1st time
I started on day 7, but I think it's a waste to start that early. I didn't get a positive until day 13. So, I'd start at 10.

Why is afternoon better? I've been testing first thing in the morning. Then I usually just check CF later in the day. This month I had a negative test on Friday am, but then Friday night I saw the right CF. Saturday morning I got my smiley and started then.

I genuinely do not know. I just remember reading in a few places that it's better to test in the afternoon for ovulation tests, but pregnancy tests should be first thing in the morning. I was also told to try and hold your urine for awhile before testing and not to drink too much water. I followed it to the letter and it worked for me. I've never tried testing for ovulation in the morning, so I can't say if there's much of a difference at all. In fact, this month I got a BFP and didn't even test for ovulation, I just guessed based on tracking for the past few months. It worked, but my cycle is also VERY regular.
ETA: I used the cheapie wondfo ovulation tests. I know not everyone likes them and some find them hard to decipher, but I had no problems. I would start to see a line on day 11 or 12 and then it would be darkest on Day 14, ovulation day. I usually tested the day after as well just to make sure it was starting to get lighter again, which it always did.

Re: Using ovulation kit for 1st time
My OB said that the 2pm thing is a crock, and that 1st morning is always the best... and it 100% worked for me once I switched to First morning.
