Godparents
Did you do anything special when asking the people you chose to be the godparents?
At what point did you ask?

My sister asked me when my nephew was about a month. It was Easter time so she painted an egg that said 'will you be my godmother"

i was asked twice.
once, i received a sono pic with a poem
the next when my cousin brought the baby over she was wearing a shirt that said, "Dani, will you be my God Mother?"
both were so cute!!

we invited them over for dinner one night... after he was born, since had come so early and we hadn't fully decided. We made cards for them (or I should say I made) one was a "Godfather" for my brother (the godfather) and one was a "cinderella fairy godmother" for my SIL (the godmother). We had them sitting and said that DS had a very important question to ask both of them....

I LOVE This!! If I could have gotten my brother and my SIL together, I would have done something similar.
My brother lives 4 hours away so he won't be down until the baby comes. I wanted to get him a godfather shirt for his birthday but I slacked and never ordered it. His birthday was yesterday, I called him late and asked him to facetime me tonight and I'll ask him.
DH asked his sister at her house Saturday but rather then bringing her over to me to ask together, he just went and asked her without me. This is why I need things planned out =o/
