Help a newbie out?!?!

So we decided to give it a whirl this month. I got my last period Aug 9. No idea when I ovulate so we guessed around 12-16 days after period. BD a couple of times. Fast forward to this past monday, I started having cramps and then a brown discharge when I wiped (gross, sorry). Lasted a couple of hours then went away. My GF was like OMG implantation bleeding. Then tuesday I woke up with blood on my maxi pad and bled throughout the day. Not heavy but there. Then wed it was really bloody (with chunks, ugh sorry, write term??). Today nothing at all. So I freaked Tuesday took a test and got a negative. today my stomach feels weird, not cramps just weird. So did my period just come 10 days early possibly?? I had a gyno appt for tomo (annual) and they just cancelled on me. So now what? Should I test again? If so when? Any idea what is going on? TIA

if you got your last period aug 9, then you would be due for AF around the 5th if you were on a reg. 28 day cycle. Does your cycle every vary, or is it pretty consistent each month? I don't think you should test again, because that sounds like a period to me.

I usually have a 31 day cycle. Never 10 days early.

I had a 32-34 day cycle and typically ovulated around days 18 to 21.
Ovulation is calculated to be 14 days before your period. That's why it's important to know the length of your cycles (start date to next start date). Could your calculations be off? Are you counting the first day of your last period or the last day? If you just started trying I wouldn't stress it (I know easier said then done) but start by getting to know your body. Read up on signs of ovulation and order yourself some cheap internet OPK strips. Remember to enjot!!! Have fun. From experience don't turn this into a job sooner then it needs to become one, it could ruin your sex life.
