Question about first appt at Stony Brook GYN/OB (Dr Lochner)

I just got my BFP. This is my 2nd pregnancy, I have a 3 year old DC. But I was with another OB for my first pregnancy. I went to Stony Brook GYN/OB about a year ago for my first visit and an annual check up and haven't been back. For those of you who have been there for OB appointments - do they have you wait until 8w before you will be seen? I'm just debating on when to call and schedule an appointment because my last Dr had me come in right away to confirm the pregnancy and then come in again at 6w for an ultrasound. But I hear the norm is to wait until 8w. Should I call right away or can it wait a little? Thanks!

My first app with them was around 8/9 weeks. I was with an RE before that. I would call now and just schedule it, sometimes they book up fast.

I am a patient of Dr Lochner's and she is near impossible to get an appointment with. She is only in the Setauket office on Wednesdays. I called as soon as I got my BFP and they made my appointment for 7.5 weeks. I would call asap.
