Hershey in December
Anyone been? Any good holiday things to do? Thanks!!

Hershey in December
We have gone three years in a row. We stay that the Hershey Lodge and get a package. The package includes breakfast with Santa, tickets to Hershey park, tickets to Hershey Gardens and tickets to Sweet lights which is something you drive through and see Christmas lights. There is a tree-lighting in the lobby of the Lodge at 8pm on Saturday. The give the kids hot chocolate and cookies. We also hang out in the indoor pool.
We also go and make a Christmas ornament (out of chocolate playdoh) the kids make and decorate themselves. We also go on the free tour on how to make the chocolate and visit the Hershey museum.
It is a cute little mii-getaway. We stay from Saturday to Monday.

I'd love that info too! Sounds awesome and we're always looking for something to do Xmas time since we don't celebrate Xmas

I was going to book , but then saw indoor pool is closed this December for renovations.

I haven't checked this year but we stay Sat-Mon and the package is approximately $575 and includes every mentioned above -admission to Hershey garden, sweet lights, park admission, breakfast with Santa and the museum.
I heard that the Lodge would be undergoing renovations and DH and I were deciding if we will go this year or not.
As for the indoor pool being closed, I will tell you that the pool is not heated and aside from our group (we go with two other families) no one goes to the pool.

Stupid question- so you go to the park on the rides in December? With Jackets on? LOL I can't picture it-- are all rides open?

We go late November or early December. The roller coasters aren't normally open but a large portion of the park is. We do wear coats and it hasn't been too cold. I the kids complain or we notice them uncomfortable we leave. We check the weather determine the best day to go.
My kids are younger so we don't stay the whole day 3 hours mostly. Our friends have older kids and they love it and spend all day

Christmas is my favorite time to visit Hershey and this year they will have some of the roller coasters open!
