Bleeding while on BC for IVF
I've just finished 1 week of the 2 on the BC pills for my IVF cycle. (was prescribed Nortel).
I've started spotting today. I imagine this is normal, but its been a long time since I've been on BC...lol.

Normal. It's just breakthrough bleeding while your body is adjusting to the level of hormones. Don't worry about it.

Bleeding while on BC for IVF
You and I must be on the same schedule and are starting our first IVF around the same time. I took my last BCP pill this past Monday. Last Saturday (while still on BCP), I started light spotting. Sunday, spotting got heavier. I panicked and called my RE office because they said that Day 1 would be the first day of full flow. I knew that with all the spotting, it would be hard to tell when full flow begins. They said it's normal and to continue my BCP. They also said that with all the breakthrough bleeding, I may not get much of a period and scheduled me to go in on Friday (yesterday) for baseline blood and ultrasound.

ha..I have to take these until the 17th and then I go in on the 18th for bloodwork and sono. I believe if all goes well I am to start the injectibles right after. They gave me so much info the day of my nursing consult, I thought she said I could have breakthrough bleeding.
glad to see its normal. and its been very light and not much of anything since this morning.
