Where does your newborn sleep?
Ever since we brought our dd home from the hospital 3 weeks ago shes been sleeping in the rock and play. just a few days ago she started to become figgity when I put her in it. she can be asleep in my arms but once I put her in the rnp, shes very fussy and it can take a while to get her to go to sleep in it. maybe shes not comfy in there? im wondering if I should buy a bassinet ? where does your lil one sleep?

I would just put her in the crib then and see how she does. I am trying to get my DD to sleep in her crib but sometimes she realizes where she is and starts crying and prefers to be in the RNP although she is starting to look a little bit scrunched (she is 2 months old)

Where does your newborn sleep?
In those first few weeks we were all over the place. The rock n play, crib, our bed. I tried anything and everything to get him to sleep in the crib but he just was not having it. I would always inevitably bring him into bed with me. We bought one of those "safety sleepers" that you put in the bed with you I would literally sleep there with my hand on him. Just keep on trying with the crib. At one point I thought it would never happen but he is now 6 months old and has been sleeping through the night in his crib since 3 months old...

We had all 3 of ours in the crib from the beginning. Figured it was one less transition to have to deal with later!

My 12 day old is in the RNP. Well move her to her crib at around 5 weeks.

We alternated between the bassinet and rock n play until dd was 3 months old, the transitioned her to the crib. I had a c-section so just the crib in another room was not realistic.

This! We did it with our DS who loves his crib and we are doing it with our DD who is 9 weeks. She now goes 8 hours straight in it.

We don't want to buy a separate bassinett either so we are thinking of doing the pack n play for the first couple of weeks/months in our room, until we move her to her crib in her own room.

DD was in a crib in her room since day 1
DS was in a bassinet in my room for the first month or so but only because I had a c section and his room was upstairs and I couldn't climb the stairs. I wasn't planning this so I had to go get a bassinet!

My DD is 11 weeks old and she is still sleeping in the Rock and Play right next to my side of the bed. It's convienent because I am nursing and can feed her quickly when she wakes up for a feeding. I also don't want her to cry for too long/loud in her own room yet because it's right next to my 6.5 year old's room, and she really needs her sleep for school.
We have started napping her a little here and there in her crib so she gets used to it.

My DS is in a cradle at night. I use the RNP and the bouncy seat and the nap nanny during the day. I just rotate him around.

DD was in a bassinet for 3ish months in our bedroom. Then she went into a crib in our bedroom. We didn't move her to her room until she was 5 months.
