im almost positive you need to refinance to get your name on the deed.

Hmm. I always thought you could be added to the deed without being added to the mortgage, so I would assume if you re-financed to get the name on it, you'd now be on the mortgage.
I'm curious too.

i think you're right! i'm thinking of being added to the mortgage. then i think you just need a lawyer to draw something up?
