Orlando in February
We were initially planning on going the week after Xmas, but with insane flight costs and crowds at an all time high, we decided to wait.
Thinking of going the first week of February instead (Jan 30th thru Feb 6th). According to easywdw.com, crowds are at an all time low this week and flights are very reasonable.
Im just concerned about weather - my friends lives down there and said its beautiful in February, but everything I read says in can be chilly.
Just curious if anyone has gone there that week specifically and how the weather was??

Re: Orlando in February
You have to be prepared for anything. I've had soem VERY cold nights at that time of year. As in aki jacket and hat and gloves, but also some 80 degree days.

i think you just have to be ready for anything that time of year-- from heavy jackets to shorts we went in 2014 at the end of february into march.... and we had great weather. wore shorts/capris most of the week, and swam a couple days, too

Orlando in February
Everytime I have gone in Feb it has reminded me of Fall weather here in NY. Cold in the AM and then warms up 65-75 during the day.

Re: Orlando in February
My sister went for a full week for her 40th bday. They were at the pool every day. I flew out Thursday night and it was cold every day Friday-Sunday. So you just never know.

Re: Orlando in February
Its funny you mention this. I remember last year in February they were shocked that they had like 2 days of REALLY cold weather- I'm talking down into the 30s!- in February They actually made these shirts.
But that's super unusual I think. Hence why the "winter of 2015" that lasted TWO days- was made such a big deal out of.

Re: Orlando in February
I was in Miami this February 13th-22nd and it was freezing. There was one day we went out on the boat but we were freezing.
Its hit or miss, the day after we left it went back up in the 80's. We just hit their winter

Re: Orlando in February
i went to orlando in january. we swam in the pools. the water park we wanted to go to was not open due to refurbishment. i left a snowy new york and was happy. one night we stayed for fireworks at orlando and i was freezing in my tee shirt and capris, which i wore every day. i bought a fleece jacket at a gift shop and was comfortable. it was the only night we were cold and i did not think to bring a jacket that night.
crowd wise i found it wonderful. we waited on very short lines and got fast passes if the line was too long. i went during a very crowded week in july and will say never again... it was too hot and crowded.

exactly!!! i gotta say--- i really think my favorite memory from our February 2014 trip is the one afternoon we just sat by the pool HAHA
the winters up here have been SO SO horrible the past couple years... and it was just amazing to sit in the warm sun on a lounge chair for a few hours!!
