**September 2015 2WW**
so I decided to use a clearblue smiley opk because i have like 10 left over, and got a smiley- I am 12dpo though?! Is it possible that it is picking up hcg and I'm getting a smiley because of that?

It's not as reliable as a HPT of course, but yes, OPKs can pick up HCG. Apparently, LH (which surges during ovulation) and HCG (which is present during pregnancy) are almost identical. OPKs can pick up either LH or HCG, but pregnancy tests only pick up HCG, which makes them much more reliable at detecting pregnancy. Go out and get a FRER! Good luck!!!

got a frer and I don't really see anything. My dh thinks he can see something if he really squints, but I don't see it. I'm 12dpo, maybe 13dpo (i think af is due thursday, so most likely 12dpo). I feel like if I was pregnant, a frer would have been clearly positive by now. I had a maybe on a wondfo 2 days ago, but don't really see anything now
also, no smiley on the opk today (have 2 more left so I decided to try another one). Why on earth would I have gotten a smiley yesterday and nothing today? Is it possible that you have an lh surge before a hpt would show positive?
I am on crinone, so I know that I cannot be ovulating. I know that it prolongs your period, so I would assume that would mean it also prevents you from ovulating..

I didn't get a clear positive on a FRER until I was 14 or 15 DPO. Prior to that it was all negatives. I think you're still early. I would keep testing.

I can kind of see the line. With DS2 that's how it started for me on FRER. Can't remember how many DPO I was though. Maybe wait a day or two and test again.
For me, I'm out. AF finally showed 3 days late. Argh, moving on to October!

I can actually see the line better in the regular pic. But that's how my tests started out, too- super light. I also found that cell phone pics don't really do it justice. I'd test again tomorrow, hopefully you see a darker line. When are you due for AF anyway? You might even be able to try a digital. I got my positive from there the day before AF was due. Good luck!!!
ETA: I just double checked. My very faint positive was 11 DPO on FRER and 13 DPO on the digital. Though even on 13DPO, my FRER was still very faint.

I am due for AF tomorrow- I had to get bloodwork today because I'm on crinone (progesterone) and it prevents AF. if the bloodwork is negative, then I have to stop crinone to get AF.
Hopefully I get a good phone call from the dr tomorrow :)
ETA: took a digital just now and got a "not pregnant" read. :( maybe it's just too early idk

My BFP was confirmed with a digital finally on Friday afternoon!! I totally thought I was out, then got a faint BFP, then bled and cramped bad enough that I was positive I was having a chemical pregnancy, only to continue to test positive all weekend long with a line almost as dark as the control line!!
