Re: Update - how to tell grown kids about terminal illness
Dear Sarah, Thanks for the update...you are such an amazingly strong woman. I guess none of us know how we would react if we were given the news that our death was imminent but I seriously doubt I would be handling it with the grace, dignity and practicality that you are handling it. I wish you lots of good family times with your nearest and dearest, lots of good meals and drinks, lots of wind in your hair moments and drives with the window down, moments of watching the leaves fall and yes I wish for you to see snow flakes fall.
My thoughts, prayers and giant bear hugs go out to you and your family in this the most challenging of times.
PS Do you need anything from us? Is there anything that we can send you or do for you? Do you have a wish list?

Update - how to tell grown kids about terminal illness
Thank you so much for your update. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family daily. Your story puts so much into perspective and is a reminder of how important it is to not take family and lived ones for granted. In such an unfortunate circumstance you touched so many hearts and for that I want to say thank you. If you need anything, please feel free to ask...

Re: Update - how to tell grown kids about terminal illness
Sarah, you are such an amazing person and really have made me think about my own life. With 3 little kids, I always feel like we are rushing through everything, trying to just get from one day to the next. It really makes me think of that quote from Dolly Parton, 'Don't get so busy living that you forget to make a life'. This is so true!
You sound like such a wonderful mom and wife and I am sending many prayers to you and your family. I am so sorry you all are having to deal with this. It's not fair.

Re: Update - how to tell grown kids about terminal illness
Know that you taking the time to update a bunch of strangers on an Internet chat room has impacted all of us in some way. Whether it's to take the time to appreciate the world around us, appreciate good health or just as a reminder to estate plan. God bless you. You sound like a terrific, courageous woman. I sincerely hope that you have peace, comfort and happiness going forward.
