Hiya girlies! Old time poster ...I'm working at a new salon

I won't actually advertise here but I've been on this site for eons lol I recently started a new position as a colorist and stylist at Colori Bella in oceanside. I see so many hair questions on here so I thought I would put it on the board. If you have any hair questions I would be happy to help. Also if you private message me I can pass along a special LIF discount if you are looking to get some new hair! Xoxox happy fall! Jenn

That one I am not familiar with at all! Going to google it. My only concern is whe. Hot hair is used the air flow needs to point down the hair shaft to smooth the cuticle. Not sure how a hot air brush can direct the airflow down. I will let u know my thoughts soon ty!

Re: Hiya girlies! Old time poster ...I'm working at a new salon

Pennyforyourthoufhtts. So I watched some you tube tutorials on the brush wand by john Frieda. You must air dry 70 percent to 90 percent with blow dryers then use the brush for best results. Just like with a regular brush and blow dryer you always want to rough dry most of the water out first. Ok my concern about any brush hot tool is .....what I've seen in person. I've literally had people come to my chair with the actul brush stuck in their hair. Eeks! Not this brand but still. Doing your own hair can be tricky and God forbid you twirl it up too much ....ouch! I think these tools can be good if taken the time and really practiced with but I also wonder how much time you can really save without applying too much heat in one section? If itbworks forbyou awesome but be super careful of it getting tangled up! ??ps always use heat protectant

Re: Hiya girlies! Old time poster ...I'm working at a new salon

Heat protectant depends on your hair type. Some of my go to brands for products are Kenra (smells like cotton candy strawberry yumminess) goldwell Some heat protectants are serums. Which are great for thicker frizziwr hair. Some are sprays almost like hairspray for finer hair. I use them when hair is damp then dry etc. and some U can also use on dry hair before curling irons etx. Alllllways use a leave in heat protectant. Again Kenra goldwell Kms redkin even Paul Mitchell has some. Ulta is a great place to check out various brands before buying. And of course good salons usually have a money back or salon credit if you use a product a few times and it doesn't work forbyou. That's one bonus of buying from a reputable salon instead of having a cabinet full o crap you don't like and can't return or exchange ??. Hope this helps!

Do you know about Bio Ionic straightening. Is it basically Japanese Straightening? I've been getting the keratin and love it but concerned about the formaldehyde so bio ionic was suggested. Interested in hearing your thought about it.

Thanks so much!
