romantic spots in Charleston
I think my husband and I will be taking our first kid-free vacation in 6 years. Charleston is where we're thinking.
Does anyone have romantic or fancy restaurant or hotel recommendations? Any sight seeing must do's for couples. Any insight is appreciated. :)

fun! we just went there for our 10th anniversary kid-free trip in june 
we stayed at King Charles inn... LOVED it!!! it was downtown, so you could walk wherever... BUT it also had parking included (they give you a tag), so if you wanted to rent a car while you're there to do day trips, you have a spot to park it also has a pool, too, which was nice. They also have nightly happy hour- drinks specials, with free cheese/crackers/grapes that kind of thing. THEN later at night, they have free cookies and tea/coffee
we were there for 4 nights. we went to Boone Hall plantation ( you have to drive to that) which was neat to see. We also did Patriots Point- where you can tour some aircraft carriers, submarine, and a vietman war display. another day we took a day trip (maybe 90 minute drive) to Edisto Island for a beach day, which was great
as far as meals- we didn't do any super fancy meals-- but we really liked Hyman's Seafood, and another restaurant- pretty sure its called Taste-- YUMMMY sea tea fried chicken!!!! LOL

Some are closer than others but downtown charleston is very small. There's really no center of action. Walk King st.
Check out belmond charleston place
Sanctuary at kiawah is def not in the action, but it's a beautiful resort
