Hey Everyone,
Just curious if there is anyone out there who has the same problem I do. My DS is 2 and even though I lost the baby weight and I still fit into my pre pregnancy clothes everything fits differently!! I had to go up a size because of my hips!!! Even my tops I had to go up a size because of my boobs!! I work out, eat right but I can't seem to feel good about myself. Even though I haven't gained weight it feels like it shifted ..LOL.. Please tell me there are girls out there that have this same problem?
Thanks

Yes. Everything changes. You can be the same weight as before, but your body changes.

Re: Mom Body
You're not alone. My DS is 6 years old and my body never went back to the same as it was pre-pregnancy. I lost all my baby weight and was the same weight I was pre-pregnancy, but my hips had widened and my thighs had changed. I never fit into the size I used to be.

Re: Mom Body
Yep - had to buy pants a size bigger, and I had to completely change the style of dresses that I used to look flattering in!

Re: Mom Body
Oh please. This is the struggle of my life. After #1, I actually weighed less but my hips were so wide and my boobs huge. After #2, my body is destroyed.

After #1, I lost 40-50lbs from the time I got pregnant til I was about 2 weeks post partum. One dress size! I lost one dress size! So annoying!
I lost about 30ish after #2. Still, just 1 dress size!

Yup!!! Everything just fits weird. Styles that I could count on to flatter my body before kids don't do it anymore. It's beyond annoying and I hate working out, so I am not wasting more time than I need to at the gym. I just want to feel comfortable, not looking to be one of those selfie gym moms who post pics of their bodies in workout clothes lolol

Re: Mom Body
Yup. I mean, your body physiologically changes. Once you get pregnant, you're body wants to hold on to fat, so your metabolism slows down, so weight loss is so hard without putting on muscle.
My hips are definitely wider - and it's not fat or love handles, my hip bones have most definitely shifted to be wider apart. They were wide to begin with! Ugh! I weigh less than I did when I got pregnant with #2, and I've never looked fatter, ha!

same here. DS is over a year old now and I still don't feel like myself. It's so depressing that I feel like I'll never be sexy again. If anyone has any advice on how to get over it, I could definitely use it.

Me too!
Exercise helps me feel *slightly* better. Slightly because I still don't see results. I'm trying to focus on toning my new post partum areas. I like the Tracey Anderson Metod Express videos. They are 6 ten minute workouts.
Also, I've totally binged on clothes shopping. I feel like a lot of my prepregnancy stuff did not flatter me. I got a few fantastic new bras that make my boobs look pretty good and keep them off the ground hahaha.
I guess it's just accepting the new normal too. Which is the toughest part.
