Advice needed for selling clothes
I will be bringing gently worn clothes from my DD - size 24 months to 2t ...some 5t clothes from my DS to Once Upon a child or Kidz Stuff to sell. I made sure nothing is stained or torn.no holes. They are also washed. They are folded neatly in a box. Some of the brands are Carters, Hartstrings, Gymboree, OshKosh.
Does anyone have any advice or experience when dealing with these shops to get the best money for your items? I bought my son when we were upstate a few things in a consignment shop once a few years ago but have never been on the selling end.
Thank you

Re: Advice needed for selling clothes
I've never used kidz stuff but have gone to once upon a child. They give you next to nothing for clothes. Like I had Janie and jack stuff that I would get a dollar or 2 for. I bought in my joovy stroller and they tried to give me $28 dollars for it. No thanks I have it to a friend instead.
If you are just trying to de clutter I'd go there not if you are looking to make any money.

OUAC gives you next to nothing.
If you want to get the most money back, you might be better off consigning at one of the children's consignment shows - ChickenKidz or KidsKloset. There might be others, I don't know.
You set your own price and then get back a percentage of what you sell. You have to do your own pricing and tagging, but it will give you the most money.

I do these and I love them. It completely covers the cost for me to continue to buy some designer items that my son doesn't exactly need but we both love. Then it cycles around and those items get good money at the sale. They also have an option to let them tag your clothes and you get a lower percentage back. That is worth it when it's just clothes. They also take bigger baby & kid items such as Little Tykes & baby gliders.
