Anyone have a list of which CLEP exams the DOE accepts? Or should I call HR connect.
All depends- it has to be a class that you haven't taken in college

I understand that, but I noticed some colleges do not accept all exams so I wasn't sure if the DOE didn't take some exams.

I inquired about that last year with the DOE and they didn't say there were any restrictions on which test they would accept. they only said that they would look at the test that I took and make sure that it did not cover more than 50% of a course I had already taken in college..I think that is the only thing they're concerned about

I have a question for you in regards to the FEMA credits. So are you just reading materials online and responding to questions, or does the task require more than this? I'm trying to finish my 30+ as well, and I wouldn't mind knocking it out in a week.

yeah that is basically it.
1. Go Here: http://www.frederick.edu/degrees-certificates/emergency-management.aspx
2. Click on the tab at the top that says "credit conversion for FEMA IS courses
3. Read the instructions on how to get the +30. In step two on that page, there's a link that says "complete FEMA courses here". You click on "here" and you can start taking the tests. Keep track of the courses you pass. Then, you go to em-study.com and you add the courses you passed into a cart and pay $80 per course. After you order it, you'll start to get e-mails from Frederick Community College who will start reviewing everything. They will e-mail you when they are sending out your transcripts. Once you get the transcripts, you can do your differential.

MA+30? NYCDOE
I just found out about using FEMA courses for the +30 salary bump and got really excited. However, I was disheartened to read this on the DOE's site: "FEMA policy update (1/14/16): The NYCDOE no longer accepts FEMA course credit for salary differentials." I understand that they won't be accepted outright, but does this mean that they won't be accepted even if I were to pay for the Charter Oak or Frederick CC transcript conversion? Did anyone do it after January of 2016? I know that I could call HR connect and find out, but I'm afraid that they might try to close that credit conversion loophole (if still available) as well if I do. I wish that I'd known about this years ago! Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

MA+30? NYCDOE
Hey. I'm also looking to do my 30 and above and I would really like to take the FEMA courses if there is a loophole for it, that NYC doe will accept. Have you found out of any way? I'm currently taking p credits, that's not so bad. But I also heard Clep is useful to get credits, still not easy like FEMA, but it's something. Let me know if you know anything.
