Re: what should i make?
How about pulled pork and some apps? pigs in a blanket, chicken nuggets and fries (in case the kids won't eat pulled pork)

These are good ideas, but I can't really make chicken nuggets well and most of our crowd does not eat red meat. I could probably make some sort of "fries"!

Isn't pork the other white meat? My sister doesn't eat red meat but she will eat pork

What about doing a few different kinds of homemade pizzas? You can do a traditional one for the kids and then some more adventurous ones for thee adults. Add a green salad and some chips and salsa or simple snacks.

Something easy like baked ziti, salad, bread.
Not sure what you mean by you don't make chicken nuggets well. You just throw them in the oven for 5-10 minutes lol

I like the idea of baked ziti. For apps you could do pigs in blanket, chips dip, veggie platter maybe some wings.

No, it is def. red meat.
"Meats which are red when raw and turn white on cooking, like pork, are categorized by the United States Department of Agriculture as red meats if the myoglobin level reaches above 65%."
"Thanks to a successful marketing campaign by the pork industry, we almost reflexively think of pork as "the other white meat." Technically, however, pork is still classified as a red meat because it is a livestock product, like beef, lamb and veal, and all livestock are classed as red meat."

LOL! That is if you buy pre-made chicken nuggets. I am going to make everything from scratch.
All of these posts gave me some good ideas though, I think I have at least half a menu planned out now. Thanks!

Do you make chicken cutlets? Same way, just cut up the chicken into small bite size.
Why does it have to be from scratch?
