Coconut Bay in St. Lucia
So I think I found a resort that has all I'm looking for. Coconut Bay is all inclusive and perfect for families. Now I need opinions. From the website it doesn't seem the resort is facing caribbean water. I want to wake up to crystal clear waters. Has anyone been here? Thoughts? We are a family of four. The kids are going to be 6 and 7. TIA!

I was there back in 2006 ish so I can't comment on the resort since it was long ago. The water was typical Caribbean imo. Clear relatively calm.
Eta I just looked at their website. They did a ton since I was there. Looks much nicer! One bonus.....the airport is super close! Otherwise you end up in a shuttle can forever!

Re: Coconut Bay in St. Lucia
We were there 5 years ago and LOVED it. First, it's 5 mins fro the airport which is awesome with kids. The resort has an amazing kids club with a small water play area in addition to the lazy river and pools. Food was good too.
Honestly, I've been wanting to go back for years.

Coconut Bay in St. Lucia
The coconut bay is on the Atlantic/East side of the island. The water is more rough. Because of this we went to Windjammer Landing instead of coconut bay. Check out the pics on Tripadvisor.

We went to Windjammer at the beginning of November, took the kids out of school (ages 7 and 9). Because it was not a school holiday, the resort did not have a lot of school aged kids. The water is very swim-able. Kids loved the floating rock-wall and floating trampoline. I do believe almost all the beaches in St. Lucia are man-made.
