Warmest Winter Jacket / Boots

SO I have several winter jackets but I never feel like they are warm enough for extended periods out in the snow with my kids etc. So looking for recommendations on your tried and trusted warm winter jacket / coat.

I also have several pairs of boots but only one sturdy pair of Pajar snow boots. I am looking for another pair of warm boots for being out and about with the kids - should I just go down the Uggs route? I have seen they have a new style now which is maybe not as giant looking as their current ones - any reco's for warm boots?

I wouldn't suggest Uggs for out in the snow- they get pretty sad looking once they get wet and they won't keep your feet warm once they get wet.

I always recommend Sorel boots. I have the Joan of Arctic boots which are heavy but SO warm and 100% waterproof. I did get my MIL something like these which are shorter and lighter but just as warm and waterproof. They are still the best gift I ever got her!

For the jacket- LL Bean - Ultralight 850 down
That is the highest down fill I have found- blows away the fill in all the North Faces that everyone raves about.

I have never been warmer than in that jacket and it weighs like a few ounces .

Check out uniglo for winter jackets. They have a lot of styles and colors. So comfy and lightweight but keeps you toasty warm.
