Endometriosis Lap - Dr. Nimaroff?

Hello, I'm pretty new here. I just moved to LI (originally from PA) and have mostly been a stalker to the site.

Anyways, I've had a few endo surgeries and it seems its back AGAIN on my bladder. My last resection was with Dr. Iris Orbuch in the city a year and a half ago, but I've since gotten married, changed insurance plans, and moved to LI.

A family friend recommended Dr. Michael Nimaroff for a consult. Anyone had experience with him, or anyone else you would recommend?

It figures this happens again just as we have our honeymoon and are really ready to start trying for a baby

I have endo too so I feel your pain. Dr. Nimaroff did my first lap for endo in 2006 I think it was. He's definitely good at what he does, but I ended up having issues with office staff and also moved as well. therefore I didn't go back. Good luck with everything!

I've used another surgeon in that office, Dr. Sternchos, for lap, though not for endo. He was excellent and has a great reputation among my friends who are nurses at NSUH. Be forewarned the wait time to get an appt with Nimaroff was insane when I was last there, and his surgeries were booking like 6 months out. They wouldn't move me up in the calendar and I had a suspicious ovarian growth that was potentially cancerous. Have no idea if that's still the case but he is a tremendously popular minimally invasive surgeon so I wouldn't be surprised if it was. But anyway I went with Dr. Sternchos and was very happy with him. The staff has improved greatly since I was pregnant there 4 years ago. Good luck!

Endometriosis Lap - Dr. Nimaroff?

I did see Dr Nimaroff once during my pregnancy(he usually doesn't do OB anymore) but I showed up on the wrong date(appt was day prior) and he saw me. I do know people were being scheduled for December and that was back in June. I did wait 3 hours just to see him.

I had to have a D&E done for a 14 week loss and my OB from that practice does not do them. Dr. Nimaroff had a cancelation and my doctor was able to get him to do my procedure. I was very happy with him. I did see him once during my first pregnancy and did have to wait several hours because he got delayed in surgery.
