I need an awesome muffin recipe
I need a tried and true muffin recipe for Christmas morning.
I am willing to try almost any muffin, just want it to be good, but usually prefer something with cranberries or something with chocolate chips or something with nuts.
Please share any and all yummy muffin recipes.

Ina gartens banana crunch muffins. They're so good and really hearty.

Re: I need an awesome muffin recipe
I made these Blueberry, Oatmeal and Flaxseed Muffins for DH a few weeks ago and he's been asking when I'll make more. I'm not a blueberry fan so I can't vouch but I trust his taste buds.

Try pinterest or All Recipes. Homemade is so much better (and just as easier) than a box mixture.

Re: I need an awesome muffin recipe
I've tried SO many different homemade muffin recipes and I've yet to find one that has the same texture and flavor as a boxed mix. So I tend to just use a box mix and jazz them up with additional add ins or toppings. My fav is adding turbinado sugar on the tops so you get that nice crunchy, sugar coating. Yummy.

I totally agree with this until I tried this recipe. Best ever and can be swapped out with any fruit. I always add more fruit than the recipe calls for, though.

I have done it and it's great Just a warning that the batter is very thick. So thick it makes you think you did something wrong.

So glad that you liked! I am not a big baker but do make a lot of muffins on the weekend and agree that it's the best. Also really good with chopped apples in place of blueberries!
