Kids Christmas outfits - UPDATE
Silly question....
DH says DS should not wear the outfit we used for his Christmas pics since everyone will have seen it from the card.
I didn't even think to buy a new outfit.
What say you?
UPDATE: He wore the same outfit

I say, nobody else gives a shyt or cares or will probably even notice...trust me. They aren't Kim K- they can be seen in an outfit more than once.

DD will be in the same outfit for Christmas as she had on her cards. I never buy two separate dresses.

Ummmm....I haven't bought my boys' Xmas outfits yet and if I don't get out today to do it my youngest will wear what my oldest DS wore last year (which is also what he wore last year since I bought matching outfits) and my oldest DS will wear a nice sweater that he's worn a few times already. I think you're fine with him wearing the same outfit ;)

DD gets on Holiday dress a year, and she wears it to every event, party, dinner, etc. we have to go to. DS hasn't gotten anything yet, but since it looks like it's going to be so warm, I probably won't buy him anything and just put him in a short sleeve polo I have from the summer.
I see absolutely no reason why she can't wear the same dress twice.

We use the same dresses. Usually we have 2 dress, for Christmas Eve and Christmas and my favorite goes in the photos. We only got 1 dress this year. So, they might even wear the same dress both days, or something more casual Christmas Eve.

Re: Kids Christmas outfits
I'm such a clothing wh0re when it comes to my son so I can totally see where your DH is coming from. As silly as it is and probably no one will notice, I could see myself thinking like him!! Totally!
I dress my son up for Christmas Eve and Day -- for Eve he has a black velvet romper / shortall with a plaid button down underneath and kneehigh socks a-la Prince George I even got him a little dress cape for a jacket and a boys Christmas bonnet. I can't wait!!! Mind you, it'll be like 70 degrees but whatever haha.
For Christmas Day I chose a toy soldier velvet overall set with a button down underneath. I got him dress shoes that are Sperry Topsiders

Tell him he can't wear the same outfit he wore to work today because someone already saw him in it. He needs new clothes for every single day of his life.

Re: Kids Christmas outfits
I think that's kinda crazy. I always put my kids in the same outfit from their pics. How many outfits are you supposed to buy?

Re: Kids Christmas outfits
I have the complete opposite train of thought as your husband. I feel like the dress she's photographed in is her "Christmas dress" and she should absolutely wear it on Christmas!

I'm not putting my kids in the same outfit that was on our card. I've got issues like that though LOL. We have an extensive Christmas wardrobe though...I admittedly have a problem buying clothes for my DD

Kids Christmas outfits
Wish this thread had been posted a long time ago! I always put DC in a different outfit than our holiday card. This year I ended up with way too many outfits since I bought something for christmas eve and now we're staying home. I also bought a pair of dresses I decided against and planned to return but somehow let DD1 wear hers to her holiday show at school. I also bought her a cute holiday shirt to wear to her school party and then they announced last minute that they should wear pjs so that was a waste. I guess I'm making up for the fact that I can't for the life of me remember what she wore last year on christmas day and don't any pics other than in pajamas. Next year, maybe I'll just repeat outfits!

Re: Kids Christmas outfits
Your DH would hate me. I buy DD a "holiday" dress that she wears for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We used the same outfit and didn't think twice. It was expensive so I wanted to get more than one use out of it!

Kids Christmas outfits - UPDATE
I don't see the big deal and probably wouldn't even notice BUT I get where your DH is coming from. It's kind of an OCD thing.
This year I bought cute PJs and took our Christmas pics with DD in them..mailed them etc. 2 weeks later we took DD on a Christmas train ride and she had her PJs on. I did bring along the PJs we used for the pictures but then I thought I was going to post pics on FB from the train ride and everyone that got mailed a card would see she had on the same PJs so I brought her another pair.
Rationally thinking no one probably would have noticed or cared but it would have bothered me..
