NorthWell Health?
Anyone know if there will be any difference now that NorthShore LIJ has changed to NorthWell Health?
Is it literally just a name change? Or an entirely different network / different protocols, etc?

It's no longer NSLIJ.
All hospitals remain the same names

Ok. So in bayshore there's south side. It's still south side but the health system it's under is no longer LIJ but Northwell?
Just curious if there would be any difference to the public

Yes Northwell Health has 21 hospitals all names of the hospitals will remain the same (Southside, Huntington, LIJ, etc).
You can check on their website Northwell.edu.

Just a name change. No difference to the public.
It's just like when they changed Schneider Children's Hospital to Cohen Children's Hospital.

Name change. They are expanding out of the local area and needed a name that wasn't tied just to Long Island.

Its a branding them as an above posted said, NSLJ means nothing to people outside of NY and they have a large number of practices outside on Long Island, most of which is in the northeast.

Just a name change. All the hospitals within the system will still be called their regular names. So LIJ is still LIJ and north shore manhasset is still etc etc. but the overall system has changed from North Shore LIJ to Northwell Health. Emails are automatically sent to the @northwell for those that were asking. As the sender- you don't Dont have to do anything.
