He sure did! And so good for him that he did - how many people will say that about us when we go at ANY age?
He was married to Iman for over 20 years and her posts on FB were so sad in retrospect.
Has anyone seen his videos Lazarus and Blackstar? SO deep knowing that he was dying and presenting these pieces for his fans as a goodbye. He seemed to still have a wonderful sense of humor and passion - and looked stunning as a man almost 7- dying of liver cancer.
what an amazing artist, fascinating individual, and wonderful father who was extremely close to his son. i love how in the Little Drummer Boy video he even mentions his son then - he was 6 at the time
I am a huge fan and love him - he surely is a legend.
RIP!
