Weight Gain =(
Had my 24 week appointment this morning and in the last month I gained an obscene amount of weight. I am embarrassed to even admit the number. I feel so down. I know it was the holidays but I guess it is not a great excuse. I work FT have a 1 1/2 year old, I am already exhausted. I dont have time nor energy to exercise. They weren't hard on me about it, just said to try and watch what I eat going fwd. Sigh.. Just venting. I can only hope that some of it is in these enormous boobs I have now developed LOL

I had my 28 week appt yesterday...I gained alot as well from my last appointment. They said it was from holiday eating but that now is when I will really start to pack on the lbs so to make wise food choices.

Don't worry. Once you have the baby you will be too busy taking care of a toddler and newborn you won't have time to eat. Plus you'll be running around between the two the weight will fly off. Sad by true.

Re: Weight Gain =(
Don't stress - it happens to the best of us!
I have 6 very close girlfriends. 5 out of 6 of us gained 50+ lbs when pregnant. The other one gained like 10 and didnt look any different other than her belly...she sucks :)
So moral of the story - its more common to gain a lot of weight than not when pregnant, lol.
We all got it off eventually and now I am pregnant again. I am trying my best to be conscious of what I am eating, but Im so tired and starving all the time!!

Thanks Girls, I appreciate the support. I feel like I can't talk about it to anyone IRL, bc they just don't "get it"!!!

I had the same thing at my last doctor's appointment. I think sometimes the weight just comes in spurts. Try not to let it stress you out too much. We're all just doing our best.

This is my 3rd my goal was 20 lbs for the entire preg. That was what I gained with my other 2. Well at 23 weeks I'm almost there. I'm heavier to begin with. I felt terrible and she was a little hard on me but you know what. I can't help it. I'm not the healiest eater but not the worst. I'm preggo. I also have big babies. Over 8lvs each. I've lost it fairly quickly each time. I'm just going with it. I'm hungry. :)

Re: Weight Gain =(
I have advice for you....don't let them tell you your weight!
I asked the nurses not to tell me each time and I really enjoyed my pregnancy. I didn't stress over the weight because I had no idea how much it was.

I'm 33 weeks and I've gained about 40lbs. I don't eat that much differently than before I was pregnant so it's just what comes along with the territory. I wish I had my hypnobabies book in front of me, they break down what weights what (amniotic fluid, placenta, sac etc.) during the pregnancy and it makes you feel much better about the weight gain.

I gained 50 lbs with my first pregnancy. I felt like no matter what I tried, I kept gaining like crazy. After DS was born, it came off pretty quickly. I'm trying not to stress about it this time around. Don't get down on yourself!

I tend to gain about 50 lbs each pregnancy. It comes off if you work at it but I will say, mine never "melted off" like people told me it would, even with exclusively breastfeeding. I mostly blame the GD diet, you have to eat every 3 hours during the day and that killed me. I NEVER eat that much and it really packed on the pounds, even though I was eating "healthy". It is just more than my body really needs I think.
eta- I was back down below my pre-pregnancy weight and actually below my wedding day weight (too thin to be honest) before I got pregnant with #3. So definitely don't think you'll never get it back off. I believe that is a total choice.

I gained 12 lbs. one month. That's not a typo. 12. It was the first month I didn't feel deathly ill and could keep food/carbs and more carbs down (I think I was between 20 and 24 weeks). My OB just laughed it off and said "I guess the zofran is working."
You'll lose it!

Same here, but 11 pounds in under a month for the same reason (being sick). As long as baby is healthy, don't worry. The weight will come off.
