bridal shower place on the water
my cousin is getting married in the fall and we are looking for a venue for her shower, which will be sometime in august. We are open to anything in nassau and western suffolk, and the place has to hold around 50-60 people.
Any suggestions? Her wedding is at the bayview house at captain bills, so we want to avoid having the shower there for obvious reasons!

View in Oakdale is beautiful, but keep in mind, there is no barrier between the dock and the water. It is just open, which could be a safety concern if you're having children at the event.

I had mine at the View in Oakdale. It was great except they didn't explain to my mom that we would be sharing the buffet with the regular brunch crowd. That was really awkward and I don't know if we would have had it there had we known that. Not sure if they still do it that way or if there are other options.

I've been looking for a place for DH's 40th bday for months and I think Vetro may fit the bill! Thank you for posting. I previously called H on the Harbor too but it was pretty pricey. Have you been to an event at Vetro or for dinner? Looking for some firsthand feedback.

I believe both the View and Snapper Inn are set up this way. At any brunch shower I've attended at either, you are on the same line as everyone else in the restaurant too. Not a huge deal, and both places do a nice brunch, but something to keep in mind for sure.

U're welcome! Yes, the food is really good, u won't be disappointed. My bridal shower was there, and my sister had her DH's bday with all the family there too. Great atmosphere! And it's located on a bay.
