Vacation help!
My STBX is sending me away on a mini vacation by myself, no kiddos!, to recharge. My one and only chance before we get divorced. Where do I even start?! I have a passport, he doesn't care where I go. I want somewhere warm and sunny! Suggestions? Where can I find the best prices for 3-4 days?

I would probably do a Mediterranean Cruise.
See a few places at once.
And that way I'm not really "alone".
Can you bring someone. Cause I'm available. Just sayin'

Yeah, I agree with JustBrowsing.
I'm still available for a shorter vacation
3-4 nights. So max 5 days.

I agree w/ this. I'll also throw out the Cayman Islands. the flight is short. 3 hours and it's gorgeous!

For straight up R&R I would do Turks & Caicos. For R&R but also some more lively nightlife St. Maarten.

Yes to the Ritz.
Even the Ritz in Key Biscayne (outside Miami) is fabulous and great for just relaxing- not as crazy as Miami itself.

The mom in me says wherever you pick, I would make sure it's SAFE, since you are a female traveling alone. I also wouldn't tell anyone along your route that you are traveling alone (like the car service people ,etc.), say you are meeting your husband!

Grand Cayman is beautiful! The beaches are spectacular.

I'm a SAHM and have almost solely raised our children and dealt with their health issues alone...now he sees that he has taken me for granted  Also, he would go on a boys' trip with my dad and brother hunting every year for the last 8 years. I have never been away from my kids for more than 6 hours. It's time for my break!
And also, he still supports us fully financially until I can go back to school and get a degree in the field I want to work in.

Oh, and just because he's paying doesn't mean I don't have a budget I'm torn between Costa Rica and Puerto Rico (San Juan). Any input on the two? I would like to go out and explore for one or two of the days. I've decided 4 nights/5day stay. I don't want to have to rent a car.
