If you don't wash your hair everyday
On the days you don't wash, do you use anything in your hair to freshen it up? What about your night routine? Anything special to keep your hair looking fresh the next day?
I am new to this and find that my hair looks okay the next day, but definitely doesn't have that freshly washed look. Any tips?
ETA: My hair is wavy. I wash and blow dry every other day.

I blow my hair out the day I wash..at night before bed I put a dry shampoo (powder) at the roots. Next day I will use the curling iron to curl the ends under or put in waves. If I want to keep it straight I will go over it with flat iron.

I have super curly hair and I wash it every other day. On the mornings that I don't wash it, I just wet my hair a little bit and throw some mousse in. It sort of gives it that "freshly washed" look.

I use Drybar's dry shampoo. I've tried all of them, from cheap to pricey, and that is the ONLY one I actually feel works.

It depends on what the rest of your routine looks like. I have frizzy/wavy hair that I flat iron once a week.
I wash my hair 1-2x a week. In between, I shower with a shower cap over it, spray it with the CHI Iron Guard spray, touch it up with my flat iron, and I'm out the door.

Do you get this at Sephora or Ulta? I read the reviews online and they all rave about it so I will give it a try. thanks for the recommendation.

Yes, my hair is similar. I should have said it's wavy and frizzy. I wash and blow dry every other day.

Re: If you don't wash your hair everyday
My hair actually looks BETTER the dirtier it gets. My hair is super fine so as product builds in it, it gets fuller and fuller and easier to style. After washing it, it can be too soft and flat. I often spray dry shampoo in it the day I wash it to "dirty" it up a bit and give it some texture.
I don't have oily hair though- it's very dry from years of abuse and coloring

Batiste Dry shampoo!
In marshalls! and cheaper than anywhere else. Smells amazing and you just need a spray or two, fluff and on your way.

Side question - does anyone here who has oily hair figured out a way to not wash everyday? Dry shampoo still doesn't quite cut it :/

If you don't wash your hair everyday
I wash and blowdry every other day. On the day I don't wash I use dry shampoo and my flat iron or curling iron depending on what style I plan. I have been using Oscar Blandi dry shampoo powder for YEARS but now they stopped selling it everywhere! I am devastated. When I finish this last bottle I planned on trying the DryBar one.

What kind of shampoo do you use? My DD has super oily hair and this one is the best for it.
Matrix Biolage Clean Reset. Keeps it cleaner, longer.

If you don't wash your hair everyday
I love drybar triplesec (it's dry shampoo/texturizing and a third thing that I can't recall). I get it at Sephora. I sometimes use that. Though I mostly use it to style my hair- it's my favorite thing to add texture and volume. Otherwise sometimes I'll just apply some baby power at the root if it starts to look greasy.
Also, since the only part of my hair to ever look greasy/dirty is the very front by the part, I often tie the rest of my hair back and just wash that front section of hair in the sink. Takes like three minutes and then I style it like the rest of my hair. Gets me like another three days without a full hair wash!

I'm obsessed with all their products. And they smell so good.
I get the dry shampoo at one of their stores in the city but it looks like Sephora has them too!

I skip conditioner and I can go about 3 days in the winter and 4 in the warmer months.

If you don't wash your hair everyday
I've recently started washing less often and use dry shampoo/iron some spots in between, but I have keratin and think that helps

This. When I do wash my hair I blow it dry and the next day it stays. Just brush it and it actually looks better the next day. I wash it every other day except weekends.

Re: If you don't wash your hair everyday
Down my back wavy hair, tends to be dry and frizz I cannot wash daily I spritz with water and sometimes add a little leave in conditioner such as Shea Butter Extra Moisture Transitioning Milk.
My hair looks better after 2+ days of not washing.

Re: If you don't wash your hair everyday
I just use a little dry shampoo and go over it with the hair dryer on the 2nd day. My hair gets a little oily though.
I'm going to try the shampoo that NervousNell mentioned above. I've always been a little jealous of the women that get a blowout once a week and it lasts them several days. It takes about 40 mins to blowout my hair so the less I have to do that, the better.
