Sorel Joan of Arctic
How do sizes run on these? Some reviews say they run big, some say small! Don't know what size to order! Usually I wear anywhere from 6-7 1/2 depending on the brand. Thanks!

True to size for me. I wear a 6 or 6.5 and I ordered the 6. Same for my sister- she's an 8 or 8.5 and I ordered her the 8.

Thanks. I ordered a size 7 hopefully they're not too big. Cabelas has them on sale plus an extra 10% off

I am wearing mine for the first time today and holy cow my feet are so warm! I am usually a 7 or an 8 and I got a 7.5 I wish I got a 7 but will just wear thicker socks next time...

I have to tell you, I am wearing my Khombu's that were $40 at Costco and look almost exactly like the Sorel's. (I actually think they are a little cuter, style wise but that's my opinion) They are incredibly warm, comfortable and look great. They are a serious snow boot, rated to -20 degrees, insulated, waterproof. I am not sure they still have them, but they were the best money I ever spent. 3 people asked me yesterday if they were Sorels. They are over a $100 cheaper, but yeah.

Those are cute. Can't find them on their site. Do you have a link?
And I don't see them anywhere for that price.

Back in December they were no longer in stock online. I had gone to a Costco store by me and they had a huge display in a ton of sizes and 2 colors. They were $39.99. Let me see if I can find a link, and see if they are in stock online again, but I doubt it since it's January and you can't buy snow boots in January, but you CAN buy bathing suits! LOL
ETA- yep found the link to the boots I had back then and it says product no longer available. They may still have a few in stores, not sure.
As an aside, I never knew Costco carried Hunter Rain Boots either. I already have rain boots, but who knew??

Ha. Yeah, I saw the hunters too and were surprised. Although not sure why since they seem to carry everything
Thanks for checking. I may head there tomorrow maybe I will get lucky

Re: Sorel Joan of Arctic
Does anyone else find the Sorels uncomfortable for driving because of their super thick soles? I tried and has to switch to my Uggs because I felt like I couldn't "feel" the pedals.

Sorel Joan of Arctic
I Love my sorels for walking in the snow, but I commute via subway into the city and I cannot wear them for that. They are so slippery if you're not on snow/concrete. I literally slid down an entire ramp on the subway - I'm sure it was quite comical to watch, but very scary for me. Anyone else have this issue or a way to correct it?

Yes! I have the same problem with my Hunter boots. It took a few wears to make them more comfy to drive in and now it's ok

I have a VERY hard time driving in rain boots. To the point where I am nervous to wear them when I have to drive. The snow boots I posted, not as much.

Grand Central-- I take the ramp from teh 4/5 to the 7 train and it's horribly wet and slippery in normal shoes- so much worse with my sorels.

Just an update, they were too big. I have to exchange them for the 6. Also I ended up getting the Carnival boot instead and they are really cute.

So I went to Bloomingdales today because they were having a sale on Sorels. Unfortunately they didn't have my size. But they did have these Khombu's in my size. Really cute and comfortable. So I picked them up. Not for $40 though. $90.
Still want the Sorel Tofino Chevron boots. If I find them in my size, these Khombu's will be going back

I find they run big. I have a size 9, only worn about 3 times, if anyone is interested. They are almost new.
