Re: Help me plan my first trip to Sesame Place & Please Touch Museum
im not much of a help because i am planning my first trip too for the summer. i just wanted to mention you may want to add in the crayola factory while you are there...i've heard good things about it.
We are going to stay at a one of the hilton suites so that we have a kitchen and arent forced to go eat out every night. It seems most hotels offer breakfast included with their rates which is nice. I plan on getting the sesame place tickets online in advance, and going to take the kids for the character lunch they offer. I know their is a friendly's 5 minutes away which I imagine we will make our way to for dinner but who knows. im still in the planning process so i am curious to hear what others have to say

Re: Help me plan my first trip to Sesame Place & Please Touch Museum
We LOVE taking that exact trip! My daughter absolutely loves the museum. As far as sesame, get a parade spot early and bring food- the section there isn't great. Also, don't bother with upgrade to cut the lines. It isn't like a Fast Pass at Disney. The Museum can be a really long day for little ones but it is so much for (for everyone) Bring hand sanitizer, lots of it!

We love sesame but have only done a day trip. We've done the breakfast with Elmo which is cute and gets you in the park early which is nice. The food isn't good but they have things like yogurt which works. Then we do dry rides, some water stuff, then go out to the picnic area for lunch which we leave in a cooler in the car. We relax for a while and the kids nap before we go back in. Even my older one who hasn't napped in months slept for a while and the grown ups enjoy a long break! Then we go back in for more water stuff, get a parade spot, shower and change, so more dry rides if we feel like it, and watch the parade while we have dinner. Then we head home. It's a long day but so much fun.

Do you shower and change there? I have never been so I am not sure how accessible things like this are.
Thanks for the info, willing to hear it all!!

Since we don't stay over we always shower and change there. It's nice to wash off the chlorine, sweat, and most of all sunscreen before we head home. Usually we take turns doing that while the rest of the group sits on the parade route to save our spot. The bathroom near the big splash pool has changing areas and showers, you just have to look in each area to really see what's behind each door lol.

Re: Help me plan my first trip to Sesame Place & Please Touch Museum
We did sesame and PT when the girls were 19 mo. We drove out to sesame and checked into the hotel. Went for the day. Came back, did dinner then back to hotel. The next morning we headed out early to philly and did PT, had lunch and left at about 2:30 on a fri. BAD move!! Lol. Took 5 hrs to get to Queens and the kids were screaming.
Next time we want to do PT, zoo and acquarium and stay in philly a night or 2.

We did that when dd1 was 15 months. Drove down Friday morning and went straight to the zoo. Checked into hotel after. Saturday did please touch, the reading terminal market, etc. Sunday checked out of hotel and did aquarium on the way home. It was perfect.

Do the puppet show at the please touch museum! Was worth the admission alone! I wasn't a fan of sesame place.

Help me plan my first trip to Sesame Place & Please Touch Museum
We did Sesame last August. We stayed at the Radisson that is one of their preferred properties, and we got lots of coupons and extras.
We rented a cabana for the first day and it was amazing. Best money we spent. It was so nice having somewhere to go, relax, and not deal with crowds of people by the chairs. Private and we got souvenir towels, drinks and food brought to us.
We did breakfast with Elmo the next morning before heading home.

Help me plan my first trip to Sesame Place & Please Touch Museum
I have been doing some research. Debating driving from LI to Philly. Doing PLease Touch Museum. Then Driving to the Radison (sesame stree preferred hotel) and doing sesame place the next day. Does that make sense? Debating if we go home that night or stay one more night bc I think we will be exhausted...

Help me plan my first trip to Sesame Place & Please Touch Museum
We did this exact trip a few years ago and stayed for 2 nights. First day we drove straight to Philly, had lunch, went to the Please Touch Museum for a few hours, then drove to our hotel across from Sesame Place. Second day we hung around the hotel pool, had lunch and then went to Sesame Place for the rest of the day (it was not a full day park for us and we didn't do water rides because we went in May). Then we drove home the next morning.
