Just have to share!- update!
Some of you know our initial story but DH has been smoke free for 6 weeks as of tomorrow morning!! I am SO PROUD of him- beyond proud of how dedicated he is to our family. I have not in the slightest clue but I am sure that quitting smoking cold turkey has probably been the hardest thing he has ever had to do! He still is experiencing some withdrawal symptoms at times and some cravings but he's doing awesome!! We go back for our repeat semen analysis on the 16th and the follow up on the 30th to start our first cycle!
Update: I can't believe it! Today is the day- DH has not had a cigarette in 8 weeks. I am so proud of him beyond measure. He has come such a long way. He has made so many sacrifices these last two months, quitting smoking, no cigars, no alcohol, and even traded in his car so I can get a new "family car" in preparation for the future. I truly underestimated his ability and will power to do this. Now that 8 weeks has passed i was so so so wrong. He had wanted to quit for a while but never had enough motivation until now. Tomorrow we go for our repeat semen analysis and in 2 weeks we go for the results and prepare to begin our first cycle!

I have to say your post just gave me chills! I am so, so proud of him too (and I don't even know him!!!  )
I just remember your post about how discouraged you were. I am glad that wasn't the end for you. You two are so dedicated. I wish you the best of luck!

I remember how discouraged you were and it's so nice to see how you and your DH are battling through it together. Major props to your DH for his dedication and willpower! Very inspiring! I hope you get good results and have a successful cycle!

Thank you all! Yes I was so discouraged in the beginning and depressed. Now that we have come this far I am so proud of DH and so hopeful! Thank you for everyone's support through this process! Couldn't have done it without all the messages and positive vibes! You ladies are the best!

Thanks everyone! Today went well....now the waiting. We get the results on the 30th and will begin my first cycle regardless of results, I need to have the iui done before I can get one IVF covered. Looking forward to moving forward!
