Belly pain?
I'm currently 35 weeks and wildly uncomfortable. What else is new, right? Mostly I have pain in my lower back but on Tuesday night I was doing laundry and I lifted a basket of clothes and felt a pull in my ab, just to the right of my belly button. It was sore all night, but everything seemed fine and it went away. Now the pain is back this morning and worse. It feels okay when I sit but it hurts to walk, I find myself applying pressure to it constantly. Baby is still moving around but is a little quiet today, which is not completely out of the ordinary. It seems like she has a "rest day" each weeks which scares the crap out of me and then goes back to being super active the very next day. Any ideas on what it might be? A simple strained muscle? My abs separating even more? Would you call your OB? I just saw her on Tuesday and everything was perfectly fine.
ETA: And of course immediately after posting this she starts moving like crazy again- so much so that I can see her under my sweater. I feel like it happens every time I worry myself.

Belly pain?
I'm 27 and started getting something similar to this last week. To me it feels like a cramp you get while running. It's just to the left of my belly button and I was so nervous at first. I got checked out and everything was fine so I'm not worried anymore. I discovered it's worse when I have to pee and only comes around when I have a full bladder. It's so annoying when it comes along!

Re: Belly pain?
Yes! It definitely feels like a sore muscle or stitch in my belly, not like uterine cramps or anything like that. Which is why I'm hesitant to call, especially since my regular OB is not in the office on Fridays. Thanks- this and her moving around has made me feel a bit better.

Belly pain?
I had an umbilical hernia that I got repaired a few years ago. It hurt mostly when standing, walking or even while I was cooking dinner. You should get it looked at to make sure it's not that.

Ughhhhh, I sure hope not. How long after your pregnancy did you get it repaired? From everything I googled it seems like they won't do anything in your third trimester, unless the baby is in danger.

Belly pain?
I try and drink more water when it happens and empty my bladder because that seems to help! Hope you feel better!

Belly pain?
Mine wasn't from pregnancy. It was from moving furniture with my husband. I had to have to repaired atleast a year before trying to conceive.

Round ligament pain?
I definitely get that, too, but lower down near my hips. And not nearly so bad. This was directly to the right of my belly button. I think I might have pulled a muscle in my belly or if it is a hernia, it's correcting itself. My OB isn't in on Friday-Sunday so I spoke to my aunt, who is a labor and delivery nurse, and she said there's nothing they could do for a hernia at this point if that's what it is and to just try and take it easy and just watch for any signs of baby being in distress. Baby moved around just fine and I had no bleeding or cramping. I did try to relax all weekend and it made such a difference. Even just leaving work early on Friday and putting my feet up to relax helped with the pain. So far, no pain since Friday at work. ::Knock on wood:: Thanks everyone!
