What's with all the bandeau bathing suit tops this year?

I'm not a fan.
First of all I don't think they look right. They always come with the strap you can put on, but I feel like that doesn't look right when it's on either.
More importantly, much like a strapless bra, they NEVER stay up on me, and I'll be yanking them up all day long.
I feel like they are very hard to pull off.

I guess the upside is no tan lines from straps?

But I swear it's all I am seeing lately. I'll see a suit and be like, oh that pattern is so cute. Then bam- NOPE- it's a bandeau top.

I saw this and thought it would be cute if it had a different style top.

I like them. But I'm small on top. I always hated underwire and feel like it too much like a bra. I don't like the one in this pic cause it also has the underwires.

I saw them make a comeback last year and bought a few.

I am small up top and always found them terribly unflattering and hard to hold up. But I also see them as a necessary evil to even out my tan lines every so often since I have a million of the same triangle top bikini. I got a couple of these and sized down and they actually look pretty cute on. It also has removable padding so the sizing down doesn't totally flatten you out but it totally stays up.

I like them because I am small on top. I also use the strap, to hold it up, I don't need to be flashing my Hershey kisses.

I also like them because they make my stomach look flatter. I am not sure why, but when I compare them to a regular bikini top my body always looks more fit.

I only wear ones like this bc of the tan lines. I got so sick of having those white lines up my chest

They've been in for a few years now. I happen to love them because I'm small on top and they accentuate my chest. And I'm out on a boat basically all summer, so to avoid tan lines bandeau's are the only bathing suits I'll wear. I use the strap when I'm not actually in the water or tanning.

I must be missing sommething because I am small on top as well and they just flatten the shit out of my tatas, make them look even smaller and I end up pulling it up the entire time I wear one, just like a strapless bra.

I just thought you needed a larger chest to pull it off- and keep it up!
