does anyone give or recieve PURIM baskets

just wondering, I've never received from friends or family :( but always gave to one special friend.

I received once while in the hospital, I was at Mt Sinai. I was sleeping, a sweet lady came in with a bag full of items. It really made my day. I still have the pink baseball cap.

This was the first year we gave them out. I made four dozen hamentachen and gave them with some treats to my kids friends and their families. I also helped the temple make over three hundred of them for temple members. We have received one from them for the past six years.

I helped my temple on Sunday pack bags!!

your temple did not give you a bag? Every family at my temple gets one bag. You do have the option to donate your bag to the needy too. I did not give them out or really get them until we moved to NJ.

Growing up I loved coming home to all the baskets on the porch, we gave them out as well. I wasn't able to do it this year but I have in the past and will do it again next year and get my kids involved in the whole process. but at least we did make hamantachen :)
