Catering Delivery Tip
If you have a $600-800 catering order from a restaurant and they charge a $15 delivery fee, what would you tip the delivery guy(s)?
It's for 5 full trays, 3 huge salads and 10 pizzas plus plates, napkins, spices, utensils etc
I only need to supply sternos and racks and I have someone setting everything up
Set amount?10%? 20%?

Re: Catering Delivery Tip
If it were me... I'd ask if any of the Delivery Fee goes to the delivery guy (or if it is kept to pay for his "time" to deliver). I'd want to know before I made a concrete decision.
Once I knew that... I'd probably do 10%. I think 20 % is too much (and I'm a serious over tipper! ...but its not like they are serving your food).
Some may say 10% is too much.. but that is what I'd do.

Re: Catering Delivery Tip
So they're only just dropping the food off? They aren't the ones setting it up?
If that's the case I'd only throw them an extra $20-$30. But I've never placed a big order like that. Maybe I'm off.
