Spray Tan
Where do you go? Who do you use?
My girl moved to Florida and I'm nervous about using someone else because I worry they will make me too dark or orange or a myriad of other mistakes....
Looking for recommendations

Beach Bum, but only the hand sprayed. The booths always come out streaky for me.
I've always gone to the same Beach Bum in Queens, but I've had a few different people do it. Since you've spray tanned before, I assume you know it will look darker and streaky freshly done, but once you rinse a few hours later, it looks fine. They have different shades to choose from as well and they let you mix.

Yes I was thinking of using them, wasn't sure how they were.
Yes the first day is SCARY. I was like 4 shades darker but she warned me that was just the bronzer they put in the solution so they can see where they are spraying.
That all ran down the drain when I showered the next day and the actual self tan that developed under it was perfect

I have used beach bum in Patchogue airbrush hand sprayed and it came out pretty good. I normally go to the spa place i like in West Sayville that is really good and she airbrushes also.

haha yes it is :) I have been going to that place for over a decade haha
ETA - now that i think of it - its probably the ONLY spa actually IN west Sayville

haha yes it is :) I have been going to that place for over a decade haha
I have a spa wish gift certificate and my regular place closed recently and they are on the list- so I was looking into it and noticed they do airbrush tan.
I might book a massage and then see about doing airbrush with them!

when you call to book just make sure they take those. I know they had a problem getting off the spa week site a few years back. I just don't want you getting screwed when you get there in case they don't take it. I am 99% sure they DO take spa wish ones though.
their massages there are great too.
Christina is the owner and she does the spray tans. I haven't had one done since they moved to that location though so i am not sure where they do them to be honest. They used to have a dedicated room for spray tans.

Beach Bum air brush (not machine) first day you are dark but its the bronzer. I showered 10 hours later and you see most of it come off in the shower. I am very fair and it gave me a nice glow sun kissed tan.

I agree with Beach Bum. Do you go to the one in Forest Hills? They're awesome.

The one in Middle Village/Flushing actually. They're consistently good. Even though it's kinda weird since it's usually like an 18 year old girl spraying my boobs.
