American Idol Finale
Anyone watch? I thought it was pretty good. I think the judges were shocked over the winner. But they both have recording contracts

I loved most of the the performances (Except for JLo). I stopped watching the show after the auditions this year, so I wasn't really familiar with the finalists. It was great to have Simon back - loved all the nostalgia!
And WHAT was up with Ryan saying "Bye...... For NOW?"

I loved it. I thought they did a great job by bringing so many people back. I loved most of the performances (although I could have done without the minute and a half of booty shaking that JLo did at the end of her performance  ). It was a really emotional night and even the previous contestants and winners were deeply effected. They obviously felt a debt of gratitude to the show since they all came back to see it off. It was sad to see it end.
I was SO happy that Trent won. I think they both deserved it, but he has such a unique sound.

I thought it was great.Trent really grew on me. I stopped watching when Ellen became a judge but I watched this last season. I loved the finale. AI was really such a great show. What it has done for so many people with talent & dream is amazing. You can really see how it's such a better show than The Voice. There is no comparison.

I agree with this statement. I love the voice too and watch it every season. In the beginning I remember thinking that The Voice had a higher caliber of talent, but realistically, looking back, it hasn't produced very many stars at all. Maybe 1 or 2? And they were around briefly and then fell off the planet. AI has consistently produced stars over the past 15 years...even people who didn't win. Even people who weren't even in the Top 5 (like Jennifer Hudson for example).
I also stopped watching when Ellen was a judge (I felt she added nothing to the show) and then again when Mariah and Nicki Minaj were judges because their bickering was distracting from the talent. But since JLo, Keith, and Harry have been on I've watched it and personally, I feel they were the best panel of judges AI ever had. I truly wonder if they had kept going, how much longer the show would have lasted for. I would imagine last night's ratings were phenomenal...I'm sure millions tuned in.

I loved the first 3 judges & also these last 3. My DH & I say the same thing about the 2 shows. I loved the Voice & watched it every season because it was different but AI is about the talented contestants & TV is about the self centered judges.. lol Once someone is on TV, you never hear about them again. Yet, AI contestants, including non-winners, become successful.

bye for now is his little catch phrase. It started way in the beginning. And the show and network has been open about the fact AI will be back in a completely revamped format.

i absolutely LOVED the show!! I honestly forgot that one year Ellen was a judge...i must have blocked it out.
I was sad that Adam Lambert didn't come back. and holy crap Jessica Sanchez!! She blew them all away!! I didnt even recognize Pia. She sounded great. I used to love Carly and Kree. So nice to see them back.
Kelly's clip was amazing!!! Now THAT is talent!
I feel like JLo was lip synching her first song. and there was no reason to booty shake at the end.
Carrie's second song was phenomenal!!
I did think this year's top 10 got jipped. They usually sing the whole finale and they didn't do one song.

American Idol Finale
Am I the only one who was shocked that Bo Bice looked nothing like he used to. Not saying he looked bad, I was just in complete shock that that was him!! I loved the finale. Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson's taped performance we're my faves. This season moved so quickly, so I feel like the top 10 got nipped out of a lot this year. I think LaPorsha should've won but am happy for Trent. They are both incredibley talented!

American Idol Finale
LOVED the show! I was team La'Poshe but changed over to Team Trent about half way through. He is AMAZING and grew SO much! Even the judges were shocked and his reaction was so genuine.
LOVED LOVED LOVED Kelly Clarkson's performance. And I REALLY liked J-Lo's first song but I could've lived without the end with the booty shaking. I heard it was part of her Vegas show and that's why she did the whole (long) performance.
And I LOVED how they had all the different groups of singers to showcase. Does anyone remember Elliot Yamin?! I used to have his CD...LOVE HIM!

I thought it was great. Kelly Clarkson's taped segment was amazing! I love Carrie Underwood and loved both of her performances. Jessica Sanchez was incredible. I was surprised that Adam Lambert and David Archuletta weren't there.
Loved seeing Brian Dunkleman, too! LOL

Thought it was great. Dunkelman, that was hysterical.
Was surprised they didnt have Sanjaya sing something…
Yes, Adam Lambert would have been nice to see there.

So glad Simon showed up.
I didnt really care for Trent or LaPorsha, but glad Laporsha did not win. They were practically handing it to her. Not cool the way the judges were in shock that Trent won, what an insult to him honestly.
And Jennifer Lopez…why did she have to Lip synch that first song? And I think she dances awful these days and the ass shaking was ridiculous. She really embarrassed herself IMO.
