Question about a Kids BDay party (with adults)
DS' 9th bday party is next month - there will be adults there (eating and participating in the fun) - the cake is not included.
Looking for thoughts -
Cake
Cupcakes
Ice Cream cake (my only concern is that we won't be able to salvage leftovers - party is about 25 miles from home)

What does he want? Cake might be easier if he wants a themed cake.

ice cream cake because that's the only cake I like  I don't eat regular cake and there is a better chance that I would eat a cupcake over cake
for DD bday I got enough cupcakes for adults and was left over with a ton.

There is a theme (it's a Nerf party at a place), I'm not opposed to a cake in that theme, but it can be cake or cupcakes
I personally LOVE ice cream cake (he does too), and I'm sure he'd want that - but I don't want to waste any - if we don't finish it.

get a smaller ice cream cake than recommended and you should have no leftovers.
I personally hate ice cream cake so would not eat any. DH and DS love ice cream cake and would have some.

You could always bring a cooler filled with ice in your car. It would stay cold all day, and would keep any ice cream from melting on the way home.
