do you think I need two cribs?
Currently pg with #2, my DS will be 18 months when new baby arrives. I'm thinking we can probably transition him to a toddler bed around then or twin with rails or keep new baby in a pnp for a few months if needed.

Have the same age gap. We didn't get a second crib. New baby slept in a bassinet for a few months while we transitioned the other to a toddler bed. Worked out well.

do you think I need two cribs?
My girls are exactly 2 years apart and both have their own cribs. They're part of a furniture set and both convert to fill size beds.
Dd1 will be 3 end of June and is still in her crib. And I'm happy about that and so is she.

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
My kids will be the exact same age difference. I plan on buying another crib. She sleeps so well that I'm scared to mess with her sleep with a newborn who I'm sure will keep me up

Same age difference. Definitely got a second crib. My older DD is almost 26 months and still in her crib.

do you think I need two cribs?
My DS just turned 2 and I can't imagine him in a regular bed. My sisters kids are 18 months apart and she got two cribs - the second being a hand me down. She transitioned her older DD to a toddler bed around 2 years. I think you need to know your DC's temperament.

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
My girls are almost 19 months apart...I bought a second crib...I figured if it wasn't broke, don't fix it! My dd slept great in her crib and I wasn't about to change it up.

My kids are 21 months apart & I needed 2 cribs. My older son sleeps well in his crib & I don't plan to change that any time soon!

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
I'd get a second crib. My DS in is almost 2.5, and I can't imagine him being in a toddler bed...roaming the house while we are asleep. None of mine transitioned to a bed much before 3, for this reason.

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
Totally need another crib. My kids were in a crib till almost 4 and they are 20 mths apart. It was nice that I could transition them when they were ready, and could be trusted to get in and out of their bed.

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
You can get an inexpensive crib. We have our DS still in his crib (now converted to a toddler bed) at almost 6! It works space wise & he wasn't ready at 1.5.

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
my kids are 15 months apart and we have two cribs. I am very lucky that my kids LOVE their cribs...dd turned 3 a few months ago and still wants to hang out and play in her crib during the day and is happy to be in there in the morning after she wakes. If you 18mo is happy in their crib...i would get another for #2

I'd get another crib. My kids are 28 months apart and we have 2 cribs. DS transitioned to a toddler bed when he was closer to 3.

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
My boys are 2 years and 5 months apart. DS1 was happy in his crib and we bought his forever furniture before he was born so his crib converted to full size bed. I never wanted to rush him out of the crib cause he was happy, i also did not want hin to be pushed out sooner and have to adjust to that when he was already going to have to adjust to having a sibling.
He stayed in his crib for 4 more months after DS 2 was born and then we converted his crib.
DS2 got his forever furniture before he was born also.

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
My older DD started catapulting herself out of her crib around 18m... so we put her into a toddler bed and fave the crib to DD2. My girls are two years apart, so we transitioned the older one before the younger one was born.

Ok, sounds like every baby is different! Like always.
I think I'm going to see how it goes. For the first few months baby will be in my room anyway. I can always get a crib at IKEA or somewhere else that doesn't require you order them.

Re: do you think I need two cribs?
My girls are 23 months apart and they each had their own cribs. My older daughter loved her crib, so I didnt take her out of it. Plus it was the convertible crib that matched her bedroom set so we planned on using it for her toddler/full bed
