When to start registry?

When did you or are you planning to start your registry. I'm 13 weeks and my mom thinks I should start putting my registry together. I think it's way too soon as some items may become discontinued or change and for some reason I am still scared something may happen.

When to start registry?

After anatomy scan at 20 weeks. Not for gender but for knowing everything was ok.

When to start registry?

I did around 13 weeks. Especially at babies r us, I put stuff on even if I was buying it myself, because they give you back a percentage in the form of a gift card after baby is born

Re: When to start registry?

DH started a private registry around 12 weeks. It had only a few big token items like the stroller, car seat, and carrier. When I was about 18 weeks we made it public and started adding to it online only. Around 20ish weeks we went into the stores and finished them up.

I know we put some things on our list around 20 weeks that were discontinued by the time DD was born.

When to start registry?

I started researching products pretty early but didn't set up a registry until after the anatomy scan.

I did mine really late, like 35 weeks (I didn't have a shower) but I agree with this. I think before the anatomy scan is way too soon.

Re: When to start registry?

I started around 14/15 weeks- mostly so I could research the big ticket items at my own pace. I didn't know we were having a girl until 20 weeks so most of the gender specific stuff wasn't added til then. We finished by about 23 weeks- never went to the store, did the whole thing online.

How and where did you set up a private registry?

Re: When to start registry?

I'm 12 weeks and I've started mine already. Nothing with gender and it's basically just a registry baseline right now - items that I've done some research on or know we're going to need and it was just easier to put them on a registry then hope that I remember to add them later on. But no one knows about it yet and I don't plan to tell anyone about our registry until closer to the 20/21 week mark. Right now it's just for DH and I to use as a "list".

When to start registry?

I had a list of what we liked starting around 13 weeks. We officially registered at 18 weeks but after our 20 week scan I will finish it with the gender related stuff and other stuff I was not sure of yet.
