Bar Louie's Commack

Has anyone been here yet? Opinions? I think it opened up in the old Chuck E Cheese building.

Went for lunch, food was good...regular bar type of food. Place was nice and big and they had a huge bar. There was a lot of people in there for lunch...I heard it packs out at night

I just spoke to a friend who has been there twice. First time was early evening during the week, sat at the bar said food and service was very good. Then she went back last Fri night and said it was a total sh$tshow - they were told the wait for a table would be 1 hour, so they said they would wait at the bar. Then the saw a few people who came after them seated before them, so went to speak to the hostess who said she couldn't keep track of who anyone was so unless you came up to ask her about your table, you weren't getting seated. Then one person's meal was really bad, the manager said he didn't know what to do about it (take it back maybe, or at least take it off the bill - really not rocket science if you ask me) - the manager wound up taking one appetizer off the bill but then said that they could not use a coupon they had been given at their last visit because they already got a "discount". My friend was really disappointed and not sure if they are still trying to work out the kinks or if this is a sign of how things will continue to be. I still plan on giving it a try - at least once, but not for another few weeks at least.

I've never been to this one but was at one in another state when visiting friends. It was a fun atmosphere for drinks but we didn't eat there.

I wouldn't try this one for a while. I don't like to go to brand new restaurants, I think it takes a while to get the kinks out and wouldn't expect much right now.

It got a horrible review in Newsday yesterday.
1/2 a star.
The menu looks gross so it doesn't surprise me

I just went a couple of days ago. Food was horrible. I had a regular cheeseburger with tater tots. The burger tasted like it just came out the freezer and thawed out and cooked in the microwave. The tots were greasy and not at all tasty. My SO had the voodoo chicken sandwich and he thought it was ehh, and should have tried the entree instead. Drinks tho were yummy, I had the strawberry lemonade sangria and was good. The place is fun looking, and I'd go back for drinks and wings..I forgot we had the wings for apps, pretty decent. We went on a Saturday early evening to avoid the rush
