Virtus Training
How quickly after attending a seminar do they approve you?
I was hoping to attend a class trip with DS' class at the end of the month. The seminar is on the 19th.
Do you get a completion/approval that same day? or is there more to it.
I just want to make sure that I can put my name in for a volunteer if the approval happens quickly.

I think you get your certificate at the end of class. I can ask in my son's class. (although I live in PA) but im taking this course next week.
i have already done the FBI fingerprinting and I needed two additional clearances from the state police that I had to do online. Crazy!

OMG really? That is insane.
I don't know if NYS requires all that - I think it mentioned a back ground check.

It is definitely not same day. We had to give the presenter our SS# for background checks...it wasn't too long after but I can't exactly remember that the certificates were posted on the Virtus website(1-2 weeks? maybe) and then you can print it.

Mine was also the same day, got the certificate at the end of the class, but had to submit the info for the background check to the school along with the certificate.

I registered online and submitted I go for background check at that time, I left the class with my certificate and had received an email that everything was fine with background check. I am brooklyn queens diocese if it makes a difference

I took Virtus many years ago, but hubby just took it this past September so he could do field trips with our school. We both left the class with a certificate.
