Still sounds like I came in like a Rainbow.
When I was younger there was a Lennon song called "Crippled inside"
I heard it as Triple in Size instead... needless to say my obese father thought it was hilariously wrong. Thank god he had a great sense of humor took him a long while to stop laughing and finally correct me while I sang it.

These have all been very funny!
Another one that I heard this morning... Toby Keith sings a song called "Wish I Didn't Know Now". There is a verse that goes,
"I've never tried to catch you lying / I didn't want to know the truth / I'd rather go on loving blind, girl / than go on loving without you"
and I still remember my shocked "wth??" moment when I heard it for the first time... because I swore he was saying:

it was popular a few years ago. when ever i heard it I thought it was:
???"I turn my cheap music up and I perfume my chest"
then when I saw the lyrics.... it really is:
I turn my chin music up
?And I'm puffing my chest
My dear fried used to think Madonna's La Isla bonita started with "last night i dreamt of some bagels"
So when ever I hear that... I ALWAYS think of her.

I can't think who sings it, but there's a country song "I'd drink to that" and when I first heard it I thought he was singing "I'd drink the fat" (Friend's reference)

my husband is famous for his misheard lyrics... the one hte most recently brought up to me - he knew it was wrong - but couldn't figure out what it was so he had to ask haha

I was just listening to Kenny Chesney's Keg in the Closet and I was singing Cake in the closet.
I was thinking...is that a metaphor for something? Till I looked at the title.
ETS: One of my ex's use to sing Sitting on the dock of Bombay. Till I corrected him and told him the lyric was Sitting on the dock of the bay

I absolutely dore this song (and totally think Manfred Mann did it way better than Springsteen, even if they changed the lyrics and made it sound like "wrapped up like a douche" lol), but it would probably make more sense if you misheard ALL the lyrics! I was listening to this song in the car and my 11 year old DD looked at me, shook her head and said, "and you adults all complain about today's music making no sense."
